20th Century Machine Company ball screw. This was a Z-Axis ball screw for an unknown machine. It was a mail-in ball screw where the customer wanted us to refurbish it. You can see by the corrosion that it has been around for a while. There is an address on it: 6070 E. 18 Mile Rd Sterling HTS MI 48078 (313) 536-0260 US Pat# 4638548 and 4760635. To our knowledge, this company is no longer at this address. Not sure what happened to 20th Century Machine.

While it had some external corrosion, the overall assembly was in serviceable shape. We were able to clean it out, fabricate new seals, and return preload to the ball nut.
